Fichtner is global engineering consultancy established in 1922 with over 2000 employees over 170 countries. Within the UK and Ireland our engineers and consultants are involved in some of the most innovative energy projects across the UK providing design, intellectual, and engineering services to developers, investors, owners, and operators. We have over 175 employees that we are proud to have represent us, operating from our offices in Manchester, Belfast, Dublin, and Glasgow and from sites spread across the UK and Ireland. We are now looking to recruit an experienced planner to support ongoing roles in the delivery of major infrastructure projects and support the continuous improvement of the services we provide our clients.

What we are looking for:

The role holder will have a financial administration background (and appropriate AAT qualifications) and will be an integral part of our small finance team working across our finance department. There will be daily internal interaction across the wider UK and Irish business with our engineers, consultants, and other support professionals.

  • AAT level 2 accounting qualification.
  • Maths and English Language GCSE grades A-C (9-7) or equivalent.
  • Provide purchase ledger, some expense management (190 staff) and general administrative support.
  • Have mileage VAT knowledge.
  • Work with our bespoke dashboards, providing monthly reporting and coordinate team information.
  • Comfortable working as part of a small, visible, and busy team.
  • A confident user of Microsoft Office 365 software, particularly Excel. Any experience of Business Central would be a plus.
  • Keen to learn to use new software and business tools and potentially progress with further AAT qualifications.
  • An engaging and professional personality with very effective communication skills.
