Press Release : “Fichtner appointed Owners Engineers on Lostock Sustainable Energy Plant”

A huge congratulations to Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and FCC Environment on reaching financial close on the Lostock Sustainable Energy plant. The £480m project was confirmed for construction on 26th March and once in operation will be one of the UK’s largest Energy from Waste Plants.

Fichtner Consulting Engineers are proud to have been appointed Owners Engineer for this project on behalf of CIP, and will be supporting the project throughout the two planned constructions phrases and commissioning. The plant is expected to begin operation in 2023.

Energy from Waste is at the core of Fichtner’s business, our team has many years involvement with the technologies utilised in the EfW market, allowing us to evolve our internal process to provide services that support our clients throughout all project stages.
