A huge congratulations to Greencoat Capital on their recent investment into a ground-breaking project to construct the UK’s two largest renewable heat greenhouses. The investment fundraise was completed by Oasthouse Ventures in September 2019 with the construction phase beginning immediately.

The ideal growing environment will be created by using heat pumps to utilise waste heat from local water recycling facilities. A combined heat and power plant (CHP) will provide the electricity to power the heat pumps, while CO2 emissions from the CHPs will be transferred back to the greenhouses to accelerate the growth of the plants.
