Press Release: “Fichtner acts as Technical Advisor to Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) on the Sale of the Brigg and Snetterton Straw Fired Biomass Plants”

A huge congratulations to Octopus Renewables on its successful acquisition of the Brigg and Snetterton straw fired biomass power plants from CIP and Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor (BWSC).

The 40.8 MWe Brigg facility in Lincolnshire opened in 2016 using a water-cooled vibrating grate furnace boiler technology and steam power cycle.

The Norfolk-based 44.9 MWe Snetterton plant became operational in 2017 using the same technology. Fichtner is proud to have provided technical due diligence services for the deal as CIP’s technical advisor.
