Acquisition due diligence of E.On’s Energy from Waste businesses, including the assessment of the operational EfW facilities located across Germany, and also specifically focusing on the opportunities which exist in the UK, German and Polish markets.

We carried out the UK study which provided;

• a detailed assessment of the UK market;
• views on the specific investment opportunities which exist for E.On EfW;
• a review of the EEW projects portfolio in the UK and;
• an assessment of anticipated financial performance.

E.ON EfW (EEW) is the market leading EfW Company in Germany, also active in Luxembourg and the Netherlands. It operates a total of 19 waste incineration plants and produces electricity, district heat and steam for industrial use. EEW operates an installed waste capacity of around 4.9 million tonnes and plays a vital part in the local energy infrastructure, producing 1,900 GWh of electricity and 3,000 GWh of heat and steam.
