The Templeborough Biomass CHP Plant was delivered by Interserve Construction Limited and Babcock Wilcox Vølund acting as a joint venture. The facility is fuelled by waste wood and generates 4.1 MWe, equivalent to powering 78,000 homes and saving 150,000 tonnes of CO2 a year.
As Owner’s Engineer, Fichtner’s services during the construction phase included;

Templeborough biomass power plant is one of the largest in the UK. Fichtner supported the project from the initial conceptual stage, and was actively involved in the management of the EPC Contract for the construction of the plant.
