Full Circle Generation Limited (FCG) has developed a new energy from waste plant at Belfast Port, Northern Ireland. The facility will be fueled by refuse derived fuel (RDF) and will generate approximately 15MWe which is exported to Bombardier Aerospace and to the NIE Grid. The facility will utilise gasification technology designed by Biomass Power Limited, with Bouygues Energy & Services acting as the EPC Contractor.
Acting as technical adviser in development and Owner’s Engineer for construction, our services included;

The facility is the largest project of its kind to be financed in Northern Ireland and will have the capacity to generate enough power for 14,500 homes. Following our role of supporting the development and delivery of Northern Ireland’s first biomass fired power station, we are delighted to have a key role in the delivery of Northern Ireland’s first EfW facility.
