The Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm was developed as a joint venture partnership between SSE Renewables and Repsol Nuevas Energias UK. In February 2009, the JVCo was awarded an exclusivity agreement by the Crown Estate to develop the Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm in Scottish Territorial Waters. Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners acquired a 25% stake in the £3billion Beatrice project in November 2014 from the sponsor SSE Renewables.
