The proposed plant for the Hull project will be designed to treat approximately 214,000 tonnes per annum of refused derived fuel (RDF) and export about 24 MWe of electricity to the grid. The proposed technical solution is based on Outotec’s bubling fluidised bed staged gasification process, and consists of fuel reception, handling and storage, a fluidised bed gasification/combustion system, steam boiler, steam turbine/generator, air cooled condenser, flue gas treatment plant, and stack.
