Fichtner was appointed as the preconstruction technical advisor for the Cleve Hill 380MWp solar farm and 350MW battery energy storage project in Kent.
The project is the first solar farm to be granted consent via development consent order (DCO) and will be connected at 400kV into the National Grid. Following project purchase by the client, our team were appointed to carry out a tender exercise for appointing contractors to undertake the solar farm, grid connection and battery storage installation works.
This included:
- the drafting of Employer’s Requirements and technical specifications for each element of the works
- providing technical support for the National Grid connection process
- technical assistance for the free-issued equipment (module and inverters) procurement process
Fichtner has also undertaken an energy yield assessment and design optimisation process to identify the optimal configuration and layout for the site.
